Jewelry-designer Gregory Larin created an artwork inspired by ritualistic African figurines (that have both physical and spiritual references) that symbolize power, fertility and death. Gregory transformed a live model into a similarly styled figurine by wrapping sculpted body parts around her which had been prepared in advance.

The ceremony was accompanied by a live guitar performance. Gregory, a graduate of the Shenkar School of Design, created unique pieces of jewelry with a theatrical feel that include elements of urban landscapes, using leather, metal, synthetic hair and polymer. It was not for the faint hearted and not for those who have a weakness for figurines.
