13 performances on one ticket
Opening Performance: Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek (Turkey/Germany)
Sunrise Concert: Shlomi Shaban and Itamar Doari host Shuli Rand
Due to popular demand and after a whole year of longing, we are delighted to announce that Night Stroll is returning to Mekudeshet in the Tower of David.
Join us for an all-night stroll through the tower’s unique spaces that is all about celebrating music that spans borders, generations, and languages. From midnight on Thursday to sunrise on Friday and beyond, one ticket will give you access to 13 performances and a taste of the rich concoction of roots and grooves that Shai Tsabari has cooked up for us--the artistic director for the tonight.
Night Stroll will take you on an experiential journey of discovery and acquaintance with the old and the new, the contemporary and the nostalgic, from Yemenite to Amharic, with representatives of the local scene and some guests from abroad. We highly recommend you to check out the different performances, embrace the crisp Jerusalem night, move to the groove, and, most of all, experience the power of togetherness.
The night will open with a young, intriguing band, “Grup Şimşek,” led by Derya Yıldırım from the Antalya mountains in Turkey. The band will present a contemporary, psychedelic sound that defies apathy. This will be followed by a series of performances that will introduce you to Zion Golan, Atar Mayner, Ground Heights, Adam Ben Ezra, and Daniel Krief. As Night Stroll draws to a close, we will gather together from all the different spaces in the tower at the central stage for a sunrise performance that will bring virtuosity, charisma, and a generous dose of spirit and soul to the stage, courtesy of Shlomi Shaban and Itamar Doari who will host Shuli Rand for a performance that is suffused with light.
An exciting and colorful experience with many different faces and sounds, and all this on one ticket.
The full program will be published soon.
